The Holdsworth Center

The Holdsworth Center is a one-of-a-kind 44-acre campus on Lake Austin, dedicated as a space for educators to learn, grow, reflect, and collaborate. For this project, we installed over 10 acres of softscape, including native grasses and wildflower revegitation, managing alluvial soil and heavy rains, followed by drought conditions. We also installed pavers, custom steelwork, a decomposed granite fire lane, stone paving, permeable pavers, and site furnishings throughout the campus.

One of the most unique features of the campus is its irrigation system, which includes dry wells that obtain water from the lake and fill a network of cisterns. This allows the campus to irrigate the landscape with reclaimed lake water, while preventing the spread and infestation of invasive zebra mussels, found throughout the area lake system.
