Project Description

23 Springs is a large-scale mixed-use development that includes a highly detailed, urban landscape designed to integrate stormwater management, pedestrian circulation, and long-term tree health within a dense downtown environment. Clean Scapes’ landscape construction scope included installation of bioretention areas, stabilized decomposed granite pathways, artificial turf, tree grates, root barrier systems, and extensive drainage infrastructure throughout the site.

A key component of the project involved the installation and coordination of Silva Cell/StrataVault-style suspended pavement systems to support healthy root growth for large canopy trees in constrained urban conditions. The project also required a specialized drainage design and installation strategy within the Bosque Elm Plaza, balancing stormwater performance with critical airflow requirements beneath the paving system to support tree health and long-term viability.

Given the complexity of the site, the project required a high level of coordination and sequencing between landscape, civil, structural, and utility systems. BIM modeling was utilized throughout construction to help navigate conflicts, maintain installation accuracy, and support efficient execution across the project team.
